Blackjack Strategy Six Deck Shoe

Jan 05, 2020  The true count is the running count divided by the number of decks left in the shoe. For example, if there are 2 decks left in the shoe and the running count is +4 then the true count is +2. On the negative side, if the running count is -6 and there are 2 decks left then the true count is -3. Betting Strategy. Blackjack in a 6 deck or 8 deck shoe in Vegas typically pays 3:2, but there is a recent and disturbing trend for the big casinos to have blackjack tables that only pay 6:5 on tables with a shoe. The casinos are targeting casual players that are not aware of this difference.

Blackjack Strategy Six Deck Shoe
I recently took up blackjack and have moved onto try out card counting with the +1/-1 point system. In the beginning, the casino I've played at had 5 and 6 deck shoes. I was winning most of the time. Now I noticed they've gone to 8 deck shoes and I've been losing most of the time. I'm wondering if it's the 8 decks (because advantage % goes down) of if it could be possible cheating or both? I've sat at a table and had them change dealers more often than usual. Should I move to another casino that doesn't use 8 decks????? Thanks for any advice... Kar
